How we support the planet, our employees, customers and communities.

Our corporate social responsibility is important to us and we are committed to ethical and sustainable business practices. This means we take account of our social, economic and environmental impact. Corporate social responsibility is good for the planet, our employees, customers and communities. There are 3 main strands to our corporate social responsibility activities.

Environment

Part of Arc’s values is to be committed to reducing our direct impact on the environment, with our aim to explore as many ways to become environmentally friendly and help save the planet as we can. A few of our current environmental impacts we have introduced into Arc are:

  • Using 100% renewable energy to power our business
  • Using 100% recycled paper
  • Actively managing our waste by reducing and recycling (such as using refillable cleaning products and using a waste disposal company who sorts and recycles our bins)
  • Reducing our use of paper and single use plastic – donations to the Plastic Oceans non-profit charity for use of coffee capsules
  • Clothes swap initiatives in the workplace
  • Carefully planning car journeys and sharing when possible

People

We aim to create a workplace that encourages diversity and equal opportunities for all. We are a Living Wage accredited employer who recognises the true cost of living for our employees. With this accreditation, we know we can help support our staff and take that extra stress off their everyday well-being and encourage motivation in their roles.

We also actively support employee health and wellbeing through a company perks platform, which includes free counselling support, online doctors, discounts to gyms, free cinema tickets and lots of other discounts and benefits.

Community (volunteering, skills matching and fundraising)

To play a positive role in society, we’ve built a culture that promotes employee volunteering and fundraising. We also actively support local businesses and the communities in which we operate.

This includes:

  • Sponsoring a local women’s football club
  • Sponsoring a local dance school
  • Using a local recruitment agency
  • Using local suppliers
  • Volunteering at a local community farm
  • Donating to, holding or attending local charity fundraising events throughout the year
